Dr. Cesar Parra Profiles

Dr. Cesar Parra is a professional dressage rider, who has competed on the international level and appeared in competitions such as 1999 Pan AM Games, 2002 World Equestrian Games, 2003 Pan AM Games, 2004 Olympic Games, 2005 FEI World Cup, 2006 World Equestrian Games, 2011 Pan AM Games, and the 2014 FEI World Cup. He also helps train amateur riders to succeed.

Dr. Cesar Parra is an international dressage champion who has made huge accomplishments representing both Colombia as well as the United States of America. Cesar Parra - Path to Success



Dr. Cesar Parra is a successful dressage rider, trainer and judge who got his big start in Colombia before moving to the United States to compete on international circuits. Now as a citizen of the USAhe has won several championship titles up through Grand Prix level, the Samsung Cup and numerous other world-renown competitions as well as the proprietorship of his own training facility, Piaffe-Performance. Much of his accomplishments can be credited to friends and mentors that helped him along the way as he educated and trained himself in his favorite subject.

For his formal education, Dr. Cesar Parra attended Colegio Odontologico, Harvard University and Boston University, where he earned his Master’s Degree in Science of Dentistry Languages. In 1996 he took the Official FEI Dressage Judges Course by Eric Lette. The next year, he enrolled in a course from the Colombian National Federation that was conducted by Wojtek Markowski, and then took two workshops for judges conducted by Mariette Withages. He attended the USDF Trainers Conference in 2002, the North American Trainers Club in 2003; the ESDCTA Trainers, Judges and Competitors Symposium in 2005 with Linda Zang; the USDF Trainers Conference in 2006 with Hubertus Schmidt; and the USDF Trainers Conference 2013. 

Dr. Cesar Parra now has active affiliations with The International Dressage Trainer Club, the International Dressage Riders Club, The United States Dressage Federation and the United States Equestrian Federation. He is known among his students for being an incredible trainer who has brought many young people to victory as well as helped coach them on maintaining a healthy and happy horse.

With combined decades of experience in dressage competition and horse training, Dr. Parra and staff are top-level trainers who know how to address the horse and the rider both as individuals as well as a whole.

Dr. Cesar Parra is the founder of Piaffe Performance. He is an Olympic dressage rider who has taken home a number of gold medals in national and international events. He uses dressage as a way to reach out to other countries and bridge gaps through having similar interests.

Katie Riley

Katie Riley is one of the founding members of the Piaffe Performance Farm Team. Katie has traveled alongside Cesar to assist him in many international events, including the World Equestrian Games, The Pan American Games, The Olympic Games and more.

Jen Mandracia

Jen Mandracia is the Chief Horse Care Professional at Piaffe Performance. She is a master of horse care and is often the most influential member of the team when it comes to the presentation, health and care of the top horses at the facility.


\Nadine Buberl

Nadine Buberl is from Bad Liebenstein, Germany and has decades of experience in the equestrian field. She received a Bereiter Certification in 2005 and a Masters License in 2008, which is the most prestigious title given out by the German National Federation.
